ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD STANDARDS

I   FOR RENT and FOR SALE signs was approved with the following conditions:

1)             Standardize height to a maximum of 3' above grade.

2)             Location to be within 10’ of the front plane of residence.

3)             Signs are to be metal.

4)             Face of sign is not to exceed 26” wide X  26” long.

5)             A.R.B. must approve any exceptions.                                                   

6)             No “merchandise for sale” signs.

7)             Only one sign per lot.

8)             No contractor’s advertisement.

 

II   STORM SHUTTERS with the following conditions:

1)             Color to match house and/or trim of all permanently attached materials.

2)             Must meet county minimum standards.

3)             Temporary sheeting (e.g. plywood) must be removed within one week of hurricane Warning being lifted.

 

III    BASKETBALL GOAL POSTS on private property. (A.R.B. Approval needed.)

 

IV   OUTDOOR LIGHTING with the following conditions:

1)             Illumination not to exceed property boundaries.

2)             Standard coach lights and replacements do not need approval.

 

V   RAIN GUTTERS with the following conditions:

1)             Color must match color of residence or trim or be white.

2)             Down spouts are to be located at the corners.

 

VI   MAIL BOXES with the following conditions:

1)             Mailbox must be white color metal or plastic and post must be 4X4 wood or simulated wood  “L” shaped and also is white.

2)             Must meet U.S. Postal standards.

3)             Must be kept in good condition.

4)             Approval of A.R.B. must be obtained.

6)             A.R.B. Approval needed.

               

 

VII   SATELLITE DISHES with the following conditions:

1)             Prohibit large dishes (over 39” diameter).

2)                   Screen from road.

3)                   Mount at lowest possible position on house to receive a signal

4)                   Paint if possible to match house color.

5)                   A.R.B. Approval Needed.

 

VIII   HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS

1)             All Holiday decorations (i.e. lights, yard decorations) may be installed 30 days prior to Holiday and removed 14 days after the Holiday .  If after 14 days any decorations that are not removed, standard enforcement will then begin with letters and fines.

            2)             Mailbox wraps will be allowed for major holidays, provided the wrap is specific and consistent with the holidays being celebrated. The holiday wrap will be installed/removed no more than 30 days prior to the celebrated holiday and no more than 14 Days after the celebrated holiday.

 

 

* With the exception of basketball goals, mailboxes, and satellite dishes, the aforementioned standards will not need A.R.B. approval if they are adhered to.
